in car computer with projection

My friend and I are going to eventually put in a computer in my 83 ford f-150. Instead of making a flip up LCD we decided to project the image on to a small portion of the window. I ripped apart a photo enlarger that I had for the lens and am going to use that to enlarge and project the image from a small handheld TV. My question is that how can I make this appear bright enough in mid day with full sun to be able to see it?

That is a pretty cool idea, although a hand held TV isn't going to put out enough lumens to make it kight enough. I would get something that has at least 1300 lumens to make it close. And then Tint all of the windows at about 20%. (or darker if you like)

That should do it, I would actually suggest using an actual projector. It might be more expensive, but I have seen them as small as a car radio receiver for about $900
