Lightbulb Air Force 2 intake

Check it out guys,
I took a 7/8" Forstner bit and drilled my holes. Then I took four rubber grommets with a 7/8" inner diameter and fitted them in the holes for a more finished look. Let me know what you think (besides the fact that I'm a cheapskate! )

Griz,

Thanks for your service to our country!

A few questions:

Have you removed the air restrictor from the fender? And, have you removed the air silencer from just before the intake?

Simply doing that mod, will help you about zero to none.

Just get a cheap chineese air intake like myself. Did wonders to the power(not really, but it helped)

The one thing this does not address is the pressure drop from the filter to the engine (which is what the pretty tube in the kits are for). Never the less, every little bit of pressure trop reduction will help.

A 1 inch paddle bit in a honeycomb pattern on the bottom will work as well..that way any water that might by chance get into the filter housing will drain out instead of ponding
