Just a comment - jjsthing, are you possibly asking about a "SIM" card?

I don't know that that is the proper name either - my truck uses an SD card that has the map data embedded on it for the GPS/nav function in the head unit. It plugged into a slot in the center console between the front seats. The current "version" is A7. It's just "plug and play".

I'm not sure if it's right but the ford sync people called it that , then I called a ford dealership and asked if that had a "SMU" card in stock and he said yes, of course he may of just was thinking " this poor ******* has no idea what he's talking about " and just patronized me ! Hahaha

Just ask the dealership about the SD map card that is for Ford Sync.

You can also look for them online. Here's a link to the A6 version that has just recently been replaced by version A7: https://www.amazon.com/Lincoln-Canad.../dp/B00V392V4A

If you trust ebay, you can find several A7 cards for sale there for less than $70. I think the dealer price is about $145.
