I purchased a 2013 Ford Supercrew with the 501A luxury package...It has the My Touch system but no Navigation...At the time it didn't seem like a big deal but now I am thinking I should have gotten that as well...My question is how can I add the Navigation program or is it possible??? I have read online the Navigation system works off an SD Card...If I purchase the SD Card will I at least get the on screen map or what will I get...The truck has the slot for the SD card...Suggestions..

Any help is greatly appreciated...

 

Here's the deal on these trucks that I have found. You will have to verify that the truck does in fact have navigation. The dealer should be able to find out that for you. What we are seeing is that sometimes the navigation has been turned off when they do a update to the MyFord Touch system. This will have to be turned on via the IDS program tool. If you do not have nav then Ford does not have a way to add navigation to it as a kit yet however.......

Now for the good stuff. I'll probably do a posting on this as well.

For those of you that have purchased a newer model Ford that has the MyFord Touch radios you can now add navigation to them if they were not equipped. I loaded up a couple Taurus SHOs with nav for the dealership.

This module can be added to the 2011-13 Edge, 2011-13 Explorer, 2013 Taurus, 2013 Flex, 2013 F-150 and 2011-2013 Lincoln MKX

There is another version one due out soon for the Focus, Fusion, and Escape

Software is the Tele-Atlass maps using the iGo Primo software

 

My F150 does not have the navigation system but it does have the My Touch System...I have been able to use the "Sync my Ride Services" to navigate unfamiliar routes but there is no map on the monitor like in the Navigation Program...What is a price to add that I Go Primo Navigation and does it mesh well with the current ford software?
