Cable length for backup camera

Looking to see if anyone knows the length of cable needed to go from the radio to the tailgate for a backup cam in the handle.

I dont know if this helps at all but 8 ft got me from the head unit to right about where the rear wheel well starts. I routed my cable across the drivers floor and out through the stock harness grommet on the drivers side floor and then down the frame rail zipped tied to the factory tail light harness. I figured another 6 or 8 ft on top of that will get you up into the tailgate by the handle.

I havent bought the second half of the RCA cable for my truck yet because I havent bought the $118 PTM camera handle from tasca yet.

And just a heads up if you bought a $20 camera off Ebay that comes with RCA video cable, dont use the cable. I used it on my buddies avalanche and the tip broke off the end and had to re-route it with new cable from radio shack.
