I have a 2001 looking for the reverse wire in the drivers door sill to use as my trigger wire for my back up camera what color is it? Dan

 

I believe its Black/Pink. But its been a while it very well may be brown/pink. Locate the wire, meter it. Then put truck in reverse and meter again. There should be a 12v change.

 

I will give it a try very cold here in the low 20's

 

Ran the wire to the rear backup light for my trigger wire worked out great. Then I found my other problem the wires that come out of the back of the unit for the camera power. Didnt power it I switched the camera to the ignition wires and all worked great my kenwood 9960 is complete for now next is an amp and speakers? any ideas just want a little kick.

I just ran a wire with the back up camera wire to the rear and connected it to the back up light wire in the tail light.. That was the easiest way so when you shift to reverse the back up lights come on. And send 12 volts to the HU unit to trigger the camera to come on works great. That is how the car audio shops do it they don't waste time looking for any wires. let me know if you need the route I ran the wire Good luck Dan
