I know in Canada that the option for Traffic,Directions and Information is not available...but today for the first time something weird happened!!!

I put in my destination work...(not that i dont know how to get there ..lol) but for the first time it beeped and told me their was an incident/construction...I clicked on view traffic and it showed me the incident


i put it to reroute but it wouldnt said not able...

I also noticed that when i clicked again on traffic view...it showed me all incidents in my area...this is weird cause it never did this before..

Here is a list of latest I have done that may have activated the new option...

1- Installed Lockpick 3-4weeks ago
2- When for first service oil change at dealer (nothing on invoice of update to Sync)
3- My free subscription to Sirius finished
4- Maybe they sent a update by satellite

 

I doubt the 'update' came via satellite. Sirius can barely transmit the audio without compressing it to the point of distortion.

You have NAV and Travel Link, right?

I believe Ford is calling TDI the cell phone connection, not TL.

 

No Travel Link available for Canada...

Today I subscribed for Sirius oen year...I had to disconnect my cell phone bluetooth so the Sirius can receive the activation.

Also once my Sirius was activated the Traffic View option disappeared in my Nav....so oobviously this option has to do with Sirius Travel Link sinc eits not available in Canada.

 

I was also getting the Travel Link for about Two Weeks in Canada,no one seems to know why. It is to bad it is not available here ,I know not all the Travel Link options are useable here in Canada,but I would get a subscription just for the satellite weather map.

 

Kinda googled a bit more today the subject and maybe i know why i had the Traffic View option when my subscription was done...
Seems like US customers that get Sirius Traffic....they get updates for some canadian cities...Im close to Montreal and it was showing me Incident data which is the only thing available for Montreal... http://www.sirius.com/wi/i/plans/traffic/us_map.html
