Problem with factory navigation install into 07 harley f150...

hey guys I tried to install a factory dvd navigation that I bought off of someone on ebay that programmed it to my truck. My truck has the sub, sirius, ipod jack etc. and the navigation shows ford on start up. The nav started up fine but when I opened it to put the dvd into it...it won't close again. any idea on what the hell is going on? It seems like its making some noise I kept it start for 20 mins but its not working. when you click the buttons it beeps but nothing shows up on the screen.

Sorry I can't help you but I also bought one off of ebay and I didn't have any problems yet. Guess I was lucky. Can the guy you got it from give you some info on why it is doing this.

he didn't respond and then he told me to just send it back. I think I'm going to open up a dispute with paypal.

happened to mine too, i actually just got it back from ford, they replaced the head unit and since then everything worked fine

i was getting the system error and also the time on my unit wasn't working.... sometimes after 30 - 45 minutes of driving it would come back and work for a bit

Mine had the same error message, and the time was messed up. If the time is not setting chances are it's the antenna is not working or is broke or something. I tried everything then got a new antenna and it worked fine. The time is set through the gps.

Yes , that happened to me also. I did not have antenna hooked up correctly and got the same thing on the screen.,. My only problem is that when i turn on the lights and move the dimmer switch the radio lights and screen seem to flicker constantly. when dimmer is set to high it works great . any thoughts
