Yeah, its 2.0. Played around with it some more this morning and still cant select Nav Settings or System Settings. . Any ideas? Should I do a reset on the system?

Also wont recognize SD card. Recognizes my USB jump drive but couldnt do anything with it.

contact pioneer or go on to avic411.com and see if anyone else is having similar problems. Sounds like you may have just gotten a bad unit...

Make sure its bypassed. Otherwise, hope it was from an authorized dealer....

Best Buy probably didnt bypass it. And technically, doing it himself voids his warranty.

But isnt there a way to bypass the AVIC's through the actual firmware? But then again that doesnt do much for him if his SD card slot wont read cards...

My bad fellas. Forgot to update on the situation. Went back to BB yesterday and got everything worked out. Still need to ground the emergency brake but not sure if i really even want to to be honest.

Cant bypass because they didnt use that wiring harness.

Well they gave it back to me and i was like "You didnt need this?" . He said that because i didnt have a sub and whatnot, that it wasnt needed. Didnt understand either. I took the unit out and checked the back and theres nothing plugged into that(white) plug at all. *shrugs*

Yeah, I ususally leave my plugged in, just because when the customer wants amps/video outputs in the future, I know they'll probablly loose that harness.

Its a very simple procedure from what im told, you just have to move one of the pins (mute wire I think? Im probably wrong) And like I said, all the info on how to do it should be on avic411.com. Its really a great site with a ton of info on it.

Yeah, i'm a member over there. I've actually done the bypass(moved the mute wire), but that harness is just sitting in the Pioneer box.

The labor shoulda been 100 to install the deck, and 20ish for the dash kit and 20ish for the wireharness. And a 5 dollar materials fee. The 50 dollars is what we charge for regular CD decks. 100 bucks for any indash mobile video, and usually 150 if the in dash has an external processor (like my AVIC N3 has).
bestbuy.com says 49.99 + materials and harnesses unless ive misunderstood it, but it shows a picture of a similar deck

Yup, that got me too. $49.99 only applies to a basic radio. Does not apply to units with GPS, DVD etc..

Not that y'all dont know what these look like already but here is mine. With a custom splash page i made.
