Being opinionated and saying things correctly are two different things. Low_e_Red, I do respect you, and your knowledge of installations puts you on a league of your own.. but brother, you'd be ten times the person you are now if you tone down your responses and think about what you are going to say prior to saying it.

There are great ways to discuss the pro's and con's of a particular headunit. And I'd figure you, out of all people, would have the greatest amount of feedback for us who are less in the "know".

So what do you say? Be the knowledgable person WE KNOW you are, and help this guy out with his first choice.

I wont disagree. I am very sarcastic. But at the same time CA is a very biased thing. Yes, there are times when I seem overbiased but understand I have been down that road before and now have good reasoning to push that way. When I said that the Jensen is "Junksen", thats what we call them in our shop. And because we have that many problems with Jensen units. I have that right. I am sorry that Joe.Kent and Shanecaseber dont like me/that because of. But I really dont care. My opinion and past experiences, its a forum and my life. I have the ability to carry that rational.

And all because I dont like Jensen, Phase Linear or most Audiovox products due to shoddy build quality. I can easily ask the same questions: what shop are you working at ....? And surprise surprise CCity may actually be one of the best shops in the area... Are you a MECP First class? How many years of shop work have you had? (that is much different than random things in the driveway) How is your fiberglass skills? I dont live at home with Momma either? What is your hardest install? I actually hate to sound like this but at the same time dont come swingin at me again.

 

Understandable. I am new here but have read alot of your threads.. Very precise and knowledgable. I guess I was just expecting to read more on how you think Jensen is junk.. But yea, like you say, you work around the different brands day in and day out and know the quality of stuff.. so you would difinitely be entitled to express your dislike soo boldly. However, it is also more of the reason why soo many people look to you for accurate guidance.

I, too, have heard some negative things about Jensen.. However, this was the Jensen of say.. 5 - 7 years ago and don't know if the quality has changed. I didn't want to add that to the debate because it's just hearsay. I don't have any personal experience with the brand.
