Yeah I'd go with the 80GB iPod video, you can probably get those pretty cheap now that the Classic is out. But if you need more space there's an iPod Classic 160GB. I have 6,695 songs, and 253 video items, most are TV shows and short video clips. I have about 800MB free . Probably about 40 of those are full length movies, because if you convert them the right way for an iPod you can get them down to about 600MB for a 100 minute movie with decent quality.

EDIT: Also to answer your question, from the main menu go to Videos > Video Settings and turn TV Out to On if you want it to always stream the videos out the cable, or to Ask if you want it to ask you whether to stream it through the cable to another screen or to just play it on the iPod. Change the Output to NTSC for American Movies or PAL for European Movies, and turn Widescreen On if your screen is in a 16:10 or 16:9 aspect ratio. If it's a 4:3 aspect ratio leave Widescreen Off.

I am using a new 4gig Ipod nano and can't get any video even after setting up the Ipod. Does the ipod video cable have to be plugged into the clarions TV input or the video input? I have it in the video input now and nothing is happening. Thought I'd ask before ripping the dash apart again.

You might want to make sure the new nano's work first.

If they are detectable you should plug it into the video input. Then go to ipod and select video and a black screen should appear, then you have to use the ipod to select a video to start playing, once you select the video you can rewind and ffw and skip using the clarion face.
