I found a factory dvd rail video system for my 07 f-150 but I would like to know if it will work with my Pioneer Z2. The reason im asking is b/c I thought that if you remove the factory radio you will no longer be able to use factory dvd system. This is what I would like to buy. What do I need for this to work? a Ford PIE adapter

 

this one looks all inclusive. just wire it up and see. how much was this?

 

I dont want to spend $500 plus shipping and realize that it doesnt work. I have the Pioneer Z2. I would like to connect this unit to it if possible.

 

NEVER MIND. I found the answer on my own. Its not going to work b/c I no longer have my factory radio installed.

I figured out a way to do it. Same way as the aux mod I talked to you about. It will let you play through the car stereo but you can send it your stuff through aux out and RCA in on the unit.

 

So your saying that you have the Ford OEM factory Dvd installed and it works with your aftermarket radio. I have the Z2 and I would love to purchase the factoty dvd rail system but I was told that it will not work b/c the factory dvd will need to factory radio in order to function. If this can be done please explain more in detail along with pics if you have please. If not than Im going to just purchase the Aline PKGRSE2 and some how have it customize to work with my rail syste. I would love to just retain the factory look.
