I use a Garmin Nuvi 660, although the Nuvi 680 is out now. I opted for this model as it has blue tooth and the wide screen display. I wouldn't use any other brand. The 660 (or 680) is more than $400, but search on-line for the best price. Wally World carries Garmin, so look there. Good luck!

garmin

use garmin 660 also. love it. my brother has a smaller nuvi and also great. comparing the 2 the wider screen may be a little nicer but really the navigation is what is in front of you so the wider is just that: wider. functions the same. I'll recomend Garmin. one thing I wish is mulitple way points like I can get with Delorme. but maybe I have it just not figured it out yet.

I have the Alpine Blackbird and love it. I have the docking station so, I can plug it in to the dock and run it from my W200 or take it to any other vehicle that I want. Works great. Very easy to use. And the price has dropped pretty good on the first Gen in prep for the newest one that docks right in to the W205.

I have the Street Pilot C550 and I love it. It is normally around 500 or so, but I got it online through Frys for 350 with free shipping. It has most all the bells and whistles, but most importantly, it is very, very easy to use and highly accurate. I drive a lot for work, and it has made my job a lot easier. Check it out, you wont regret it!

We have a Garmin C330 streetpilot I use for the truck, bike and car. So far it does everything we ask of it, it has touch screen and automatically upgrades from the satellites. We have never got lost yet and it's much more user friendly than the ones I use in my work...

I have the Garmin C330 also. I love it. I spent a month researching before I finally decided and I'm definitely happy with my decision.

There is no loading and unloading of special maps -- they are all pre-packaged. I took it from home (Pittsburgh) to Myrtle Beach, SC and didn't have a problem. All the streets were on there.

I am routinely going into smaller sections of town here and it always knows where I'm at. It has a DETOUR button for if you're driving and a road is closed or there is a traffic jam. Or alternatively, you can just make a turn and it autmoatically re-routes you and re-calculates your directions.

I've dropped it three times from a good 5 feet up onto concrete surface and it has been fine every time. One time the removeable faceplate popped off, but it popped right back on.

Also, battery life is good if you are walking somewhere or don't feel like plugging it in, like if you are going somewhere in your wife's car or friend's car, etc.

Get the Garmin Nuvi. Great product. I have the 350 and it has never steered me wrong. Look at the full nuvi line and pick the one with the options you want.

What he said. We have 2 street pilots and one Nuvi on our business vehicles. All work great.
