Question Factory Nav Vs. Aftermarket

I'm stating to get into the market for a nav unit. I have an 06 FX4, sirius, steering wheel control and the six disk in dash now. I really don't need anything fancy, just to listen to radio and navigate me when I get lost. I don't care about DVD playback, or ipod interface and I don't have any sort of cd collection (was stolen with last truck). The only option I miss from my last F150 is the RDS, I like to see what the artist and title of the song that is playing on the radio.

So I don't know, what do you all think would be good for me? What are some pro's and con's of factory vs. aftermarket.

Thanks!

Factory nav vs. after market

I just upgraded to a factory nav in my 06 F 150 STX. It works great. However, the radio sticks out about a 1/4 further then the the original.
Now the trim panel around the radio does not snap fully in place. There is a gap. I'm still trying to resolve.

The factory systems are really expensive compared to aftermarket. But the aftermarket are more likely to be stolen because they can be put in almost any car.

With the factory nav you will retain the 6 disc and your factory sirius. No aftermarket system has this capability. If you get a new one from me you also retain your factory warranty on the radio.

Check out Brandmotion.com;F-150 integrated Magellan nav system. Nothing fancy or bells & whistles. You can get a better deal on e-bay.
