PIE AUX issue, need some help.

Here is the situation, I installed the PIE adapter in my truck and I followed some steps I had found in the forum. I hooked up the power cables to the 12V plug that is to the right of the radio. Anyhow, when I don't drive my truck for extended periods of time (Like a week), I think the PIE is draining my battery. I am assuming that is what's going on. That is the only thing I have installed to a power source on my truck. Since that 12V plug is always live, I figured it has to be the PIE adapter draining my battery. It does not do anything when I drive it on a daily basis, only when I leave it sitting for a couple of days. So do you guys have an idea of a better way to hook up the PIE? Maybe a 12V source that is not always live, only live when the truck is on? Thanks

Hook it to something that is switchable. Meaning no key, no power.

I figured that much, I just need to know which wires to use. Any recommendations would be great.
