Why factory? Go with the aftermarket...it will be cheaper.....Alpine or Pioneer both have good units.

I bought mine on ebay for $1050 overnight shipped for my 06 lariat. Took me 20 min to install, and works great, the buttons on the steering wheel work as well.

does it play dvd and nav? if you decide to sell, maybe we can deal? I want a nav system, but in my mind I know I really dont need one. I dont travel to much but if a good deal comes up, why pass it up?

it doesnt play dvd movies, but you can get the switch box to do it. I like it because it blends in with all the other buttons in the truck, but im a tech savvy person, so I like to change. It's a great system though

ya i would like that also, I wouldnt want something that stuck out. I gotta try to sell my tires and wheels first before I think about a nav I guess.

...you don't lose your steering wheel controls w/ the D3....you need a special add on unit from Pioneer that is hardwired into the Ford controls. Pioneer makes the factory Ford unit btw.
