Question Is navigation system compatible with Bluetooth wireless kits?

I have an '06 Expedition with the factory installed navigation system.I need help and suggestions please, as I want to purchase a Bluetooth wireless kit (such as Mobile-Ease). Are there any known issues/problems hooking up the wireless kit? I ask because I was told any Bluetooth "reading" device won't interface with the navigation system. I can't get an answer around here, thanks for your help! Lyn~~Casper, WY

Ford Mobile-Ease kit works great with the Factory Navigation. I have installed many of them. I even think it says PHONE on the screen. Can't remember. It's been about a month since my last install of one.

Unless they have greatly improved the Mobile Ease I would not get it. I had one installed in our Navigator and it is very poor. People cannot hear you with a hoot and no matter what we do, you cannot adjust the ring volume. It resets itself all the time and will scare the ****ens out of you.

Hands down the Parrot 3100 is much better. I had one in my Lightning for a couple of years and it is of much better quality. Best of luck.
