About head unit and Flip Down Need help

Ok I know this may sound like I am a newb to the whole Video stuff. But I just haven't been around it in a long time. I purchased a 04 Lariat probaly about a month ago and it's 4 door. I am wanting to install a pioneer head unit lcd tv. I haven't purchased a indash tv it quit sometime. Now they have this thing where you have to have it in park or the emergency break down to view dvd. Could someone explain to me how to get around this whole thing.

Now the other thing is that I have the rail system above the head and am looking for a flip down tv to go with that. Could someone send me a link to some tv's and installation for this so it runs with the indash. So I need info on how to install it as well. Thanks

Which Pioneer are you looking at?

Each unit has its own unique way to bypass, which by the way is illegal. But don't tell my 3 year old that.

Locate the "green" wire, and splice it and ground it along with an inline switch. When you want a DVD, toggle the switch on and off, and you get a new "warning" screen, press ok, enjoy and don't crash.

This post will auto delete in 30 seconds.

PS See my sig I have the unit you are looking at.
