On frod's web site they show the AUX (ipod) connector on the upper tray (2007) models. There must be a connector for that somewon the nav radio. I mean if your going to change it out to nav then you should change out the upper tray too!. Also i have the lariat .. your strearing wheel controls work fine afer the fact?

From the site: An auxiliary audio input jack is located on the upper dash top storage tray and is standard on STX, XLT, FX4 and Lariat

That's correct--on 2007 models the aux input jack is standard. It uses the entertainment harness input, but requires an additional device to handle the CAN bus feature. I tried just wiring direclty into the radio harness to make my own aux input, but soon found the CAN bus is essential to opening the channel up for an aux input. So you need one of those P.I.E. interfaces that does it for you; or, now you can get the one Ford uses. Basically it opens the aux input when a signal is detected versus one on the rear entertainment system (they run through the same harness).

The steering wheel controls work if you have a radio that was pulled from a truck with steering wheel controls. Mine is an XLT, so there are no controls to begin with.

Splices ... To me it seems since it is an add on to go between the main wiring the radio, it would just be another go between... I see what I can find out. jsut soudl be nice to have that option too!

ADDIFUSION I am a ford factory nav supplier and have a programmer to configure the radios correctly for each vehicle. I can be reached @ 978-815-5111. I sometimes have terrible cell service so just leave a message and I'll get back asap. The units I carry are NEW not takeouts and are programmed to whatever you have for options. We also carry the ford siruis tuner to go with the ford nav as well.

Yorel23, yes the nav will work with the f350 lariat. The brackets need to be moved but the unit can be programmed for all the f350 options.

Mark (nothinbutaford), I too am interested in the factory navigation system package. Can you send me an email with your cost and the list of options that I would need to provide you so that you could configure the unit for my truck? My email address is listed under my profile. I saw your install of the unit into a 05 F150, posted in your profile. Are you aware of any differences in the dash or mounting points between an 04, which I have and the 05-06?

nothinbutaford - I have a 2004 fx4 and i just took off the head unit to take a look at my wiring harness - i have just the radio harness - no sub harness and no dvd harness - any idea if the 07 nav will still plug and play - do i need to plug in the other two harnesses for this thing to work? Do the 07's have a jack for an ipod hookup? please contact me at raarmour@hotmail.com about these questions and pricing

One problem is the steering wheel volumn & channel controls don't work, which has already been mentioned - anyone know if this can be fixed? It is an easy install (after you get the dash trim off).
Thats strange because my steering wheel contols do work in my 04 Lariat with the 07 Nav unit or at least I do know the volume switch works, that's the only one I use.
