Question Eclipse IPC-06 Ipod Adapter

Has anyone had any luck with the IPC-06 Ipod adapter for the avn models? I just installed my ipc-06 the other day. At first the cd changer 1 button would not appear in my source menu, but after messing with the switches I got it to come up. However now that the button is there it will play songs from my Ipod, but I can't get it to change the song. I was just wondering if anyone else had heard of this problem. I have heard of some people having difficulty with this adapter, but I wasn't sure if it was the same problem I'm having. Thanks a lot.

What model Eclipse do you have? Only the AVN6600, CD7000, CD5000, CD4000, and CD3000 have a full iPod support mode. With the AVN5500 or AVN5495 for example, you lose fast next/previous, text display, browsing list, and random play. I've put the URL below for a table that show the 106 iPod feature by Eclips model.

Features supported by Eclipse model -->http://www.eclipse-web.com/ipc/index.html.

YES, I have simular probelms, the Eclipse Head Unit is great, but the Ipod adaptor and the Sirus is JUNK at best, not very well thought out at all, I had a cheap 20.00 Satillite unit that worked better,

i'm having the same problem you had. I can't get the Cd changer 1 to display on my source menu. What switches did you mess with to get that option?

Depends on the model deck you have.

Eclipse dropped the ball with the IPC adapters..

I just bought the av cable and connected it to the ipod and the video input "VTR" on the deck. I have to still use the ipod to change songs, but the sound and video is crystal clear and I don't lose my cd changer/sirius input.

The cable will work with any tv, including your house. It's just a composite RCA and audio to ipod headphone jack cable assembly.
