Has anyone checked out this backup camera & display being sold by Pep Boy's? It's made by Roadmaster. Model #VRBCS300 Here's the link to Roadmaster's website. It's the second one down:

Pep Boy's has been running it in their newspaper ads for several weeks for only $99 !! Seems cheap enough to gamble on, but if someone has any experience or info on this I would appreciate it.
Thanks.

If "I" were to spend money on a backup camera, this is where I'd spend it: http://store.mp3car.com/SearchResults.asp?Search=camera. It's obviously more money, but it's infrared too so it actually works at night... do the one's at pepboys? Plus it's an all metal screw-together casing with rubber grommets so it's completely waterproof. Are the one's at pepboys? It also has angle mounts that allow you to mount it off center, in the event that you'll be towing something...
Just my two cents

I recomend the back up camera made by Pioneer. I have them on two of my cars and I think they are awsome and worth the money. I tried one of those cameras that mount in the key hole like the one above, and I didnt like it at all. At night there was way too much glare from headlights and after about a month and the black metal ring around the camera started to fade into a copper color. The picture quality really sucked compared to the pioneer camera.
The same camera that mp3car.com sells is going for around $70 on ebay.

update on Roadmaster Backup camera
I decided to check out the backup camera system that Pep Boy's has been advertising (see my original post below). The wired model was $99, but then I saw the wireless one for only $119 so I bought that one instead. It's a very easy install connecting into the 7-pin trailer wire harness reverse light lead. The only problem with the setup is when I put the truck in reverse the picture goes all wavy and static-y. Maybe interference from the backup sensor? I don't know much about the sensors, but I'm guessing it's messing with the transmit from the camera to the display. Anyway, since Pep Boys has a 30 day return policy I will be taking it back and shopping for a better unit. Even without the interference, the display unit is so small the image is not very useful.
The other lesson learned is that it's very tough to locate the camera such that you can see when your hitch ball is under the trailer tongue. This would require mounting higher on the tailgate and I don't think I want that look. Has anyone seen a camera mounted into the tailgate handle? Or maybe in the logo?
And finally, I can't figure out where to mount the display so it's easy to see when I need it, but hidden when not in use. I really don't want to cut up my visor, and I haven't found a 'pop-up' housing to put in the tray on top of the dash.
I'm beginning to doubt that this project is worth it since I only took the boat out 6 times last summer and 5 times so far this summer.

I purchased 2 at Costco for $89.00. I tried both installing both of them and I couldn't get a stable image on my Nissan Titan. I just returned them this week.

Forget the camera - go with reverse sensing.
Tried it. Got one from Costco, about $80. East to install, but worthless in terms of seeing what is behind you. Terrible at night. Picture quality deteriorated over time. Took it back for a refund.
Purchased Backstopper's reverse sensing system for about $60, model CA5012a. Took a little more time to install, but works like a charm, provides audible signal, distance to the object and indication as to which side, right or left, an object might be located.
I have a 2004 Lariat. It came with two holes behind the plactic facad near the license plate. The other two holes were drilled into the metal bumper. Find an F150 with the factory unit installed and measure the bumper to use as a template. Recommend painting the hole with touch up paint to avoid rust before putting in the sensors.
Longest time was to pull the wires. The unit is wireless from the bed to the console. Was able to connect the display into the 12v and run the wire unseen inside the console. Looks good and is accurate to about 1". For the price - not bad. JP

I found an ebay store with the keyhole camera with infrared for only 15 bucks 5 for shipping, I'll try looking for the store, glare IS bad at night from other cars, but you really want to use it to make sure you don't have any obstacles, not to watch other cars...which I admit I would regularly do.
I had mine on for a year no problems, then in the beginning of the month I put my bodylift on and disconnected my cam temporarily, a couple days later I hit a damn trailer when I was backing up. I woulda caught it with my cam, in my opinion...well worth the money and little bita hassle now I gotta get a big *** dent fixed right under my driver's tail light
But JDwester, your cam is wireless, so you can install it be4 taking it on a boating trip and take it off when you don't need it so it won't be an inconvenience, make a license plate holder for your cam that'll point to your ball hitch, you can make it temporary so you can take it off after your trip
