Jensen vm9412

I just installed this dvd player last night and everything works perfect except i tried to ground the pink(ebrake) wire and it didnt work while the ebrake was in or not. Ive tried grounding it to the ebrake, and several other places. Does anyone have any common tips or advice?

I don't know the answer to this besides my thought of installing a ground switch between the HU and the P brake to "fool" system.

Otherwise do a google search on "bypass Jenson XYZ" Or check out

I found this with a quick search:

any luck with a code? I had a switch installed, but can't remember how to use the damn thing and I can't get a hold of the person to tell me again.

So, if anyone has a bypass code, please let me know. If not, and you know how to do the toggle switch, please tell me.

Skid...

Jensen code

There's a couple codes you can try,
on older models...
Go to the am/fm hit setup on your remote, then hit 5 4 3 2 1 0 and a new screen will pop up, you can turn the Parking brake override on and other things, then hit the X to exit, you're done

Newer models...
Put in a DVD and engage the parking brake sequence, then on your remote hit stop twice then hit 1 2 6 4, a new menu will pop up and you can turn the parking brake override on there

The parking brake sequence is to tap the pink wire to the ground when it is powered up, then take off the wire from ground for around 2 seconds put it back on ground for 2 sec. repeat 3x, might not work on the 1st try so do it faster than 2 secs. or longer then 2 secs.

As far as I know, the 9412 can only be bypassed with a switch and te grounding of the ebrake wire. One you ground the ebrake you have to do the sequence with the switch just as you would with the e-brake. None of the codes work on the 9412 that I know of yet.

Tried the code above and it doesn't work. However, I finally figured out the sequence on the switch. Having it on at all times would be nice, but the switch works just fine and only takes 3-5 seconds to activate the video.
