Your work is excellent:thumbsup What about a system created with the family in mind for my 05 Screw? What would you suggest?

Thank you, I would look at the new eclipse avn6600 nav unit. It has daul dvd slots so you can play a movie on a rear screen/screens while you are using the nav at the same time. It also has the best ipod integration for an eclipse unit. It's very easy to use and you can add accessories like sirius or backup camera.

If you want to attach an iPod and control it completely through the new double din head unit, go with the Eclipse AVN6600 or the Pioneer AVIC Z1. I don't believe you will go wrong with either of these systems. You can add accessories such as a Sirius satellite adapter (XM, XM Nav, or Sirius with the Pioneer), a backup camera, or a HD radio adapter. With the Pioneer you can add a bluetooth for your cell phone. Don't forget a PAC steering wheel adapter so you don't lose those steering wheel controls if you've got them.

I have the Eclipse AVN6600 and I'm really enjoying it.

My install pictures are at https://www.f150online.com/galleries....cfm?num=11185

I would recommend the 60 gb unit if it will be your first iPod purchase. Plenty of space for audiobooks, your music, etc. Thinner than the older 40 gb unit I have.

I brought the 4GB Nano as a secondary unit to keep in the truck. Easy to conceal and light. Made a special truck playlist of my 4 and 5 star rated music and filled up the 4 gb. Over 144 hours of music. I keep my larger 40gb model mounted in a Bose station as my home stereo.

iTunes is available in Apple OS X and Windows versions. Get your entire CD collections and load up the music in iTunes on your computer. Store your CD's for safekeeping.

Plan and create your playlists and enjoy the ease of being able to carry every track of every CD you own in your pocket on the iPod.

I'd definately recommend the Z1 but I'm a bit biased Check my gallery. Plus the BT accessory is great and you can also add on the NavTraffic feature. Eclipse and Alpine also make very nice double din units. Alpine's unit stands out mainly from the fact that it has the fastest/smoothest iPod control.

That looks great exactly what I had in mind. The flush mount looks factory installed. How much did the unit cost? and what if any problems or downfalls have you had with it?

I am very interested in getting the Eclipse AVN6600 for my 2005 F150 KR......can I use my existing Sirius antenna if I get the Directed SIR-ECL1 SIRIUS Tuner + Antenna for Eclipse Head Units ???? Also could someone link me for the adapter to continue to use the steering wheel controls ??? Does the Eclipse GPS system work as good as a Garmin portable unit as far as finding addresses and such ??? I have the Alpine Blackbird unit now and it works great except it is always behind on the map when your coming up to roads which can be annoying until you get used to it. Thanks for any help you guys may offer.

Yes you may have to modify it a little

Alpine has an update for the blackbird to correct that, your dealer should have that info.

F150 Integrated Navigation

My buddy just picked up a 2006 F150 that was fitted by the dealer with an integrated Magellan navigation system. It looks factory and works great.
Apparently it is sold by a company called Brandmotion. Take a look:
