Pioneer vs. Alpine

The AVIC Z1 definitely has the clearest screen and best picture I've seen, but if you want to hook up an IPOD with more than a couple hundred songs, forget about it. It's like loading a program in DOS (pre-Microsoft Window for you 80's babies). I recently removed it and had the Alpine IVA W-200 installed. I love the Alpine unit. The navigation is flawless and the speed is excellent. I will warn that it takes about 2-3 weeks to fully get used to it, but that also keeps your passengers from fooling with the controls

I highly recommend the Alpine for all IPOD junkies like myself. It's well worth the extra $$$. My only complaint is that the AVIC definitely installs cleaner. The Alpine motorized face sticks about a half inch out of the dash

I have pics in my gallery.
