Z1 and microphone issues

The last couple of days my mic has been off and on again not working. At first I thought it may be the Bluetooth adapter, or maybe my phone, but it doesn't work with the voice recognition either. Has anyone else experienced this? I find it a bit unlikely that the jack would have unplugged itself just driving around town on paved streets.

Thanks,
mikebaby

Have you tried adjusting the location of the mic? If worse comes to worse I'd suggest just taking a peak at the connection. Also consider calling pioneer

hmm that's odd, I hope you get it straightened out. I have mine placed on the rear view mirror. It's actually right behind the mirror stuck with two way tape to the base where the mirror attachs to the windshield. So far it's worked flawlessly on voice recog while driving, even with the sun roof open.

I ordered the BT from Crutchfield just before they ran out of stock again last week and I should have it Monday. I'll report back on how it works ASAP. I'll also post the pictures I have on file from my install.

I don't think it's placement, (It's clipped on my visor) because it used to work just fine.

You're right, it's definitely not placement then because the visor is even better then where I have mine...very odd. I'll report back when I have the BT installed this week.

Sorry mike, I usually have some kind of suggestion but to be honest I'm stumped. As you said, since this is also a problem with the voice reg system, I would recommend you call pioneer ASAP about this issue. Best of luck and please keep us fellow Z1 owners updated on this situation.
