Check page #6 of your installation manual if you have a 5435...Square #5 shows what you're looking for...
Additionally, I received a 'pig tail' that converts the 'blue/white' wire (listed as CONTROL POWER SUPPLY for external amplifier), to another blue/white wire that crosses into COAX (white/red). From there, it's a simple plug and play into the audio out (oval C & oval D).
Long story short, the head unit isn't able to send a signal to the sub because the subwoofer signal is sent via the blue wire which isn't probably connected to the LINE OUT via RCA cable.

Well, I guess that post was generally useless eh?
The concept should be about the same though.... you still have to tell the amp to kick on so that it'll work. Check your installation manual to see how you can connect it... It should be activated via the blue/white wire in your factory harness.

Don't forget to add a 1.5kohm resistor in line with the blue remote turn on. This will prevent turn on pop noise. Also the 50d I believe does not have sub volume control so the sub may overpower the rest of the system. Its an easy fix, just get a low pass filter with an input gain adjustment and that will take care of it. It will also make the factory sub sound better (less boomy) crossed over.

got it off ebay, guy must have word for visteon, because thats where it shipped from...
I've got 25 30D's in stock and they all have the preout harness only the older 30D's didn't have it. I haven't got any 50D's in stock right now but I'll double check to make sure it has a preamp. Plus you said you had a sub level control is that on the info/settings screen along with wallpaper and guidetone.
