PocketPC Navigation Installed

Well I finally got a navigation system installed on my Dell Axim X50v. In case you're interested I purchased a bundled package from buyGPSnow, which included iGuidance GPS Navigation Software and Globalsat BT-338 SiRF star III Bluetooth GPS Receiver. The Axim X50v is connected to an Arkon DM320 docking powered mount with built-in microphone and integrated amplified speaker for GPS voice commands. I do a lot of business traveling to meet with clients and to visit job sites so this device will come in very handy. Just thought I'd share.

Any comments?

I like it alot. I would hate having that wire there.

I like it too; however, I agree with the previous message, the wire would really annoy me (perhaps you can hardwire it?).

Just curious, do you have any experience with installed nav systems? If so, how does it compare to your PocketPC nav?

I agree with all the comments thus far concerning the unsightly power cable. Until I find a permanent solution, i.e. dash routing and hardwire, I just don't use it. My only experience with installed navigation systems is when car shopping for my wifes 2005 Acura TL. The only thing that I liked better about the Acura Navigation is the voice recognition, thought not enough to warrant the extra $2000. iGuidance has more acurate Navteq digital map data and better point of interest destinations. I also like the fact that the X50v and GPS receiver are both portable.
