Installing Headrest System This Week Any Advice?

I've been toying around what to do and I've had it the kids on trips. On our last Expy we had a Clarion Quick fit system that was OEM style on the back of the rear console. This time I am going with this system.http://www.allwired.com/vizualogic/a1000.htm

Any advice on doing this? I've done all of my own installs in the past so I can do it. Just wondering if anybody else has. Thanks

Advice...Don't do it. At least not at that cost! FOr that amount of money you could get an excellent aftermarket in dash unit (Eclipse, Pioneer, Alpine, Kenwood) and 2 7" monitors for the rear headrests and install them yourself. An dprobably still have some money left over. I just cant see paying that much for 2 headrests and monitors.

Thanks for the advice, but your suggestion won't work. I have the factory nav system in place, so installing an aftermarket unit won't work. In addition we trade in every 2-3 years so most likely I will be able to use the the headrests in my next truck. If not I can weigh the option of what they would be worth at trade vs selling them on Ebay.

As for the price, I didn't pay that much. The overall price is within a few dollars of the factory option, and for that I get dual DVD players so the kids can view two different sources if they want to in addition to not having to hack up my existing headrests. Thanks anyhow though.

well, those are all good reasons to do what you intend though. Enjoy them.

good choice very easy install very high quality. The only thing I dont like is the aux input pigtail is very short, if you want to use a playstation or something extend them now. Enjoy

OK MHMCGILL, so how much are you paying and where? I just installed an AVIC-D1 and may go the headrest route for rear video.

Thanks.

I bought it through Ebay but it acutally came from www.Allwired.com. About $1550 complete. We've had it for a few weeks now and other than one small occasional glitch it works great. It's a pretty easy install, just time consuming. I could do one in about an hour now.
