Question Eclipse & IPOD

Anybody know if eclipse is working on an IPOD solution? Or are they avoiding the issue with their hard-drives.

How do you guys use ipods with your AVN's?

Thanks!

Eclipse units have at least one input that can be used for your ipod, cd changer, etc..

Ipod

I called the eclipse tech support a while back and they said that the only way to run the ipod would be through the aux audio input. This would neccessitate controlling via the ipod.

I asked about future software making the ipod controllable through the eclipse touch screen, and while they have received many requests for this, they do not forsee this ability for quite some time.

I may have this figured out. In talking to a dealer, he mentioned that Eclipse has a cable (AUX105) that has E-LAN on one end, and red/white RCA on the other. Monster has a IPOD to RCA cable. This way, could I connect the IPOD in sequence to my changer. The headunit should regard my IPOD as CDCHANGER2.

Sound feasible?

Thanks

Possible, however I doubt that the software in the iPod is compatible with the software in the headunit, so I would guess you would still have to control it via the iPod.

I don't mind operating my IPOD via its own controls, but I've always thought that FM transmitters defeat the exceptional sound that the POD spits out. They are handy, but they tune in like a radio station.

Thanks-
