97-03 Plainfield Indiana Favor to ask

There's a company called Stifflers, that sells chassis braces for Lightnings and Harley F150s. Im trying to work with him to get a 4R70w Xbrace built, he needs a test vehicle for a couple days to mock up a system and take measurements.

He would need a 4R70w 01-03 Screw, or a 97-03 Extended cab 6.5'

He's exetended a very generous offer for whomever would be able to loan a truck. He's offered the Xbrace at a big discount.

Thanks,

Patman, been lurking and reading about Stifflers x-brace on LightninRodders forum as well. I have the E4OD transmission instead of the 4r70w. Based on your conversations with Brian, do you think the Harley kit would work for me? My truck is a '97 supercab.

Hope you can find someone to help you out, either way.

The harley xbrace should fit on a extended cab 6.5' bed with the 4R100 trans

That's what I am thinking. I emailed Stifflers and Brian responded that the brace was designed for use with the 4r70 which is shorter than the E4OD/4R100 (but if that was the case you wouldn't need a volunteer to loan their truck, right).

I didn't want to question his work, but hoping it was just late and he was low on coffee.

Do/did HD trucks primarily come equipped with the 4R100?

o too bad I sold my supercab. May not have had the right transmission though. Plainfield is right down the road from me.
