There are people from www.greatlakes4x4.com and www.wegotmud.com there every Sunday and most Saturdays unless there is an event going on somewhere. I haven't been out there in a few months. I plan on going soon. I'll keep everyone here updated as i find out more. There is also a group of us from greatlakes4x4 planning at least 2 trips to Silver Lake for this summer. I am usually on yahoo messenger if anyone wants to send a friend request i'll add ya. I am acidsurfr on there as well.
Also on MySpace and Facebook if you want to add me there are well.

Well, haven't been on in a while. Had to go down to Florida to see grandfather in the hospital. Not doing good and does not look like he has much longer. As far as the Mounds go, for those who do not already know, Mounds is closed to trucks as of March 15. Mounds will reopen to trucks May 15th as it is closed for these 2 months every season. Let's plan some type of get together before then if possible so we can all meet and eventually go wheeling together.

well rather than start a new thread ill bring an old one back.
the weekend of May 1st me my buddy his dad and a few of are friends are going to houghton lake. right on the back side of camp garyling. there is a DNR state park to go camping at up there if you guys wanna stay for the weekend. i have no idea what the parks called ill try and find out for you guys.
pretty much you take 427 north till you get to milltary road i wanna say exit 127 or somthing like that. its pretty easy to get to. its kind of a drive from SE michigan but its fun up there. Theres lots of trails some logs to climb a gaint sand hill were the H1 from grayling go up to test them out. and 2 lil mud holes and 1 gaint swampy mudhole. were taking my buddys dad 2 excurtions ones a V-10 with 6" of lift and 35" toyos *thats on the trailer* and his 2002 excurtion with a 7.3 wil be our tow truck. My buddy is bringing his 94 bronco with an 8,000lbs wintch on the front of it that pulled out the V-10 from being stuck in the swamp so yall dont gotta worry bout getting stuck.
also you can camp out in the woods on the trails all you gotta do is right your name adress and fone number on a plac. and display it for everyone to see from the trails. and make sure ur not in the trail haha.
let me know and ill try to get the info on that state park ASAP. should be lots of fun guys!

welcome
Welcome to the group, nice to see that more and more are joining this forum that are local or at least relatively local. We are definately going to plan some type of meet & greet get together for some time in the spring or early summer. It would be great if we planned it at or near a wheeling spot but even if it's not, it would make for a great opportunity for all of us to put some faces with names and meet fellow Ford and wheeling enthusiasts'.
