Mine is a 65. And I know what you mean about the sound, it still gives me the willies! What a lot of people don't realize is that the early ones had aluminum fenders and there were 2 different type motors for them. One had a straight crank (both pistons up and down but on different strokes). The other one had a 180* crank (one piston up and one down).

I rode the crap out of mine in the dirt, imagine a 130 lb. kid on a bike that weighed 2 1/2 times the rider flying over jumps and doing hill climbs. Man those were the days!

I lusted after the 305 Scrambler, well actually the two-fifty. I worked at a gas station and two guys used to ride past occasionally with red versions, no inserts or snuff-er nots just the raw sound of that twin revving out. That sound! Made the Beezers and Triumphs sound like grandpas two cylinder John Deere. Nothing sounds as good as that engine, even to this day it gives me goosebumps. And as far as I'm concerned the scrambler series were the only bikes that Honda got the styling right back in the sixties. I thought the Dreams and the Hawk looked terrible. I liked the styling so much that I now have a CL 90 and a CL 160 parked beside the 305. Of all the CL's though the early 250's were the best looking with the minimal rear fender.

Maybe I'm a bit older, I saw it at the Drive in when it first came out! Ha ha!

Hey man.im the guy with the heritage f-150 v6 with start up problem ,i just got my intake manifold fixed but its still starting like crap in the morning., ive replaced my plugs,oil, air ,fuel , and oil filter. maybe its my fuel pump goin out?? not seeing to much signs of it though. tell me what you think

Hey jgger, long time don't talk. Listen, I just posted a question about if its ok to disconnect the Oxygen Sensor in my truck without causing more trouble. The thing is that it looses power and the speed drops real fast, even though I push the gas pedal nothing happens and I have to leave it pushed and wait for about 15-20 seconds before the truck picks up speed again. once start doing it it will keep doing very often that is scary, like every 5 minutes. Once I stop to park the truck seems to have the "shakes" like running out of gas. By the way, I'm visiting Rialto and I remember you live in Corona, is that right? later pal
