Survey on kinds of cargo hauled in Blackwood cargo area?
Just curious as to what you other owners of "Blackwoods" allow yourself, or your wife to haul, in what I would describe as the fancyious built truck cargo area ever made so far. As for myself, I do carry some groceries once in awhile on large shopping sprees, but not anything that would break & ruin the carped area, & no objects that could roll aroung & scratch the metal sides. Most of the time I just put down a back seat or two, & use the flat surface for hauling, cutting down the amount of times I have to put the tonneau cover up/down.
multiple loads of field stones (with a blanket or plastic laid down first)
1/2 a cow, butchered (again with plastic laid down & SEVERAL bags of ice packed around it to keep it cold for the 3 hour drive hom)
hay bales
corn stalks
pumpkins
dressers (a few times)
a few desks
loads of other furniture
Basically, I'm not afraid to haul anything in my Wood. I have many different kinds of straps in my side compartments just in case.

That will be the weekly groceries, 6 5gal water containers (every two weeks), my 50 inch flat panel tv, one time 10 50 kilos sacks of cement, with a strong carpet under them, various tools, on rare occasions a 10 kilo tank of gas (the hooks are handy for round items), and another time, my 10 gal air compressor...
And thats about it, not much can fit on the shallow trunk, still, love my truck

I have hauled engine blocks (4 cyl), trannys (5spd from same), using heavy poster board to cover the carpet. Also hauled a full sized coin operated pinball machine with the legs removed and head folded down with the gate closed, and the tonneau strapped down. Moved 19 and 13" video monitors and other assemblies from various coin op machines.
i haul grocery's every Sunday and i also haul my army gear from time to time if i need to bring it to my unit but id have to say the craziest thing was this weekend when my wife and i bought a 16ft pool from wall-mart, it fit in the back but the tonneau couldn't come down i hated doing it but i couldn't use my wifes trailblazer for it, i baby my black wood its too nice to haul anything crazy in it lol i dont even want to drive in the dirt in it lol its the nicest truck Ive ever owned!
Camping gear, I found a nice big Coleman cooler that will go in and let the top close. Walmart carries it. A complete Jaguar IRS. 8' lumber, drywall sheets, plywood, and anything that can be stacked on top of it, bundles of insulation. I've carried 10' lengths of conduit and pipe sticking out the driver's side rear window. All sorts of other things but I've been very careful to not mar the truck in the process. I also carry a good assortment of straps and tie-downs and make good use of the anchor points in the bed, sometimes also tying off to the saloon doors and frequently pulling the cover down with a strap. But it won't carry an upright refrigerator and I won't even try. That's what trailers are for.

I once hauled two of my buddies in the bed of the Blackwood about 25 miles doing 80-90 mph the whole way. The thing only seats 4, and we had 6 guys. So they said it was kind of scary, like being in a casket. I also hauled a 300 pound gun safe on one of those cages attached to the hitch.
I made a custom liner out of plastic I throw I'm back of it need being water tight fill up the whole bed with ice and brewskies big hit at parties or tailgating exspecialy at night with the neon strips the ice tends to glow
