2006 Mark LT
2006 Mark LT
hello everybody...joined the form hoping to get some help from you guys and gals.
i purchased 2006 lincoln mark lt in december of 2005 and my truck has had a vibration in steering especially when i am driving at the highway speeds above 65mph.
dealership did done few things ...like balanced the tires few times and also replaces front two tires in hopes of getting rid of vibration but no prevail. last week i took the truck back and they called the factory and were instructed by them to replace the drive shaft and trans and steering mounts. i picked up the truck on friday and it still has vibration and actually now it is worse than before now i can feel the steering vibrate at about 30+mph.
i am just wondering if i can get any advise from here especially from someone who has had similar problem and they were able to get it resolved...before i go back to the dealership on wednesday. thxs.

Same Problem
My 06 LT suffers from the same thing - the vibration can be felt in the steering wheel - and seems to be coming from the front drivers side. I've had it in 5 times now, and the dealership has replaced 6 tires (one set, plus two that where out of spec the last time I had it in). The new tires are Geolanders by yokohama. The new tires are directional and offer a smoother ride - but the vibration remains. The original tires were BF Goodrich.
Have you tried posting this in another forum - this is a similar problem that the F-150 has as well.

JUNK, KUNK, JUNK. A realitive had Continental tires on a Lincoln Sedan. Constantly complained about vibration. It was in and out of the shop 1/2 dozen times. Finally replaced the tires to Michelin, and has had no problem.
Waiting To Hear Back From Ford
hey jdbak thxs for your response. what did your dealership told you now ...are you going to live the problem or they are offering any solution?
i took my truck back other day and they indexed the front wheels because i had seen a tsb for f150 and printed it and took it to them. that didn't do anything problem is still there and truck is still vibrating. i am waiting to hear from the sales manager at the dealership because he going to call ford/lincoln lets see what he comes back with you.
please let me know if you find a solution for your truck...i shall do the same.
my email please write if you find the solution becuz i am all out of ideas at this point.

Wind Noise
Hi All,
I have a 2006 MK LT and am experiencing a high (like a radio frequencies) pitch wind noise at 60+ MPH and happens all the time (except when raining) sun roof open or closed windows up or down bed cap on or off.
Has any one else experienced this problem as well???
Thanks,
Shawn
The only problem I have had with the front end was cured with a tire balance, however that seems to be a critical issue on the 20" wheel package
