edge evolution

Hey guys, have a quick question. I have a 2004 f-150 in which I have bought a edge tuner for my truck, do any of you guys know if this tuner will work on a 06 lincoln mark lt. My buddy just bought one and he is wondering if edge or someone else makes a tuner for his truck.

Cosmetically not sure exactly how it will fit, but otherwise it's the same engine. Should work fine. Call EDGE direct and double check. Also, if you try a search I believe there was a topic or two on this topic.

I also know that Mike Troyer custom tunes the Lincoln with the Superchips Xcal2 as well.

Those tuners won't work because the companies enter Ford VIN option codes into them, not Lincoln.

But I have spoken to JET performance and they have a plug-in module that will work with the LT. Retail cost is $299. Stylin concepts has it. You can look it up for the F-150 but it will work on the LT

I WOULD NOT DO IT, I have an 06 Lincoln and it did not work it did take the factory tune off the ecu, but was not able to reload another tune, nor was I able to get the factory tune back on the ecu, hence my truck was down for 2 weeks to get a new ecu. I would go with a custom tuner from Mike at TP if you are going to go that route. Edge has no customer service compared to TP, now that Edge is owned by MSD, they should either get taken by someone better or they should go into mass quanity of hell.

Who sold you the EDGE for an 06 Lincoln? Should have known better, or at least e-mailed or called EDGE to check with them first. Shouldn't have sold it to you if it's not cleared with EDGE.

expoy03, I was told that it would work on and 06 lincoln from Roy, remeber all there products are basically beta testers for them. they are not truly clearing your factory computer and downloading a new progam in less than 60 secs. I would go with another tuner or just go the supercharger route

Was that Roy from EDGE? I'm really surprised.

I saved the emails at my office if you need proof? Nathan, is yet another person I spoke with. Dealing with people all day I can understand having a bad day, but to deal with me as "one" customer they should have dealt with me like I was there only customer, that is how I treat people and that is how I expect to be treated, hence that is why after my new computer came in I went to a diffrent tuner, I could care less about the money, the "coolness factor" of the guages, I wanted something that worked, and they have a product in my book that is nothing but a beta tester, maybe MSD will push some serious cash flow into them, maybe Roy, can focus on the program side, but remember he did not start there. All I can say for me having something that works if i am told that it works is priceless for me, so i hope my new tuner works.

That's ok. I believe you.

Just surprised and a bit disappointed I guess.

I knew from the start when I got the EDGE that it was unproven. And it has had it's share of problems as with any of the other programers. But so far I am happy with it and will keep it in this truck.

Have to wait and see if it's something I want for my next truck.

Good luck getting your truck set up the way you want it.
