They consistantly have the best color and clearity in their pixel class from the reviews I have read. I have a Canon G1 (3.2 mp), and it takes great shots. They are now up to the G3, and Nikon has several new cameras out also.

Good Luck,
Mark
Now that Canon has come out with the G3 the G2 (4mp) is coming down in price. The G2 started at $999 and now you can buy one for $500 or less. I love mine, check the reviews.
Also, it is threaded for lens adaptors, filters, etc.

I'm probobly looking to buy a digital camera too. I looked at my friend's Canon Powershot S230, it's very nice. I think that's what I'm gonna lean towards at this point.

Any suggestions for nighttime use as well as daytime???
Thanx for the responses... keep em coming!!!
For night time pictures, you need to adjust the time that the aperture is open. Check in the camera settings on how to do this. But once the aperture stays open for a longer amount of time (which allows more light to get in) you will need a tripod because the camera has to be stable. You holding it will cause the camera to move and resulting in fuzzy pics.

The truck is running great....I am installing new plugs now because I have a dead miss. The same plugs have been in the truck since I built the motor. It is so nasty on the street...I'm running the smaller pulley now for around 20psi of boost and it's sick. I ran an 11.4 w/ 17psi, so I'm curious as to what I'll run w/ this one. I never had a vehicle that will spin tires from 55mph!

I just did some research for my dad who just bought a Canon A40. Looks like a great camera for the money. Only 2 megapixles, but for email and such that is plenty. He got it at Walmart for $248. I have a Nikon 775 and am very pleased with it. Nikon has a new 2000 out that looks pretty good at about $229.

Bought the wife a canon S30 [3.2 mega pixels] for her birthday and she seems to love it

Be preparred to pay for software, extended warranty, more picture capacity,a new printer, photo paper ect if you don't already have a digital camera.

Like are trucks, these cameras require mods

Then don't waste your money on a camera j/k

Just don't do what I did and spend $200 on a camera and reget it. Should have taken the 2 bills and put another 3 bills with it

What he said. As far as night pics, ours came with night vision option. We haven't tested it out much, but it does take excellent high action pics & short videos (practiced on the baby).
