I got to go to the track last night for the first time in my "new" used L. I got in 8 good runs. Here are my two best runs:

13.515 @ 102 (don't know my 60' because timeslip didn't print)
13.567 @ 101 / 2.09 60ft

Rest of my runs were between 13.6-13.7.

Do those times sound to be about right for stock? How about the 60fts? I did a search and that seems right but I was also running in 50 degree weather with a really good track.

I got better with each run until my last couple when I got too aggressive out of the hole. Hopefully I can get those times in warmer weather but only time will tell.

Let me know what ya think. I hope to be posting on here more often so that ya'll can drop some knowledge on me as I try to join the 12 second club .

Those are excellent times and mph for stock....With practice youshould be able to get into 1.9xxx sixty foot times and run possible 13.40s....


What year L, how many miles...

 

It is a 2001 Oxford white with 18,000 miles. It only had 17,000 when I got it 3 weeks ago. I just can't stop driving the thing around. It is too much fun and is a real head turner.

I saw you there. Well at least I saw your truck. My best time of the night was a 13.49 so I'd say that you're not doing bad at all for your first time out. My 60' on that run was a 2.03 or.06. The track hooks extremely well especially on race days/nights. Go back on a Friday Night or Saturday and you will get 1.9xx 60' times. My truck is basically unmodded and ...... the time in my sig was on a Friday night. BTW your truck looks nice...I was checking it out in my rearview . I prolly won't make it back until Jan.

I was wondering if somebody here was running that L. Your truck is freakin beautiful. I was going to try to talk to you about your truck but I never got the chance.

I probably won't be back until late January either. I gotta save up for some mods before I go back.

Gee thanks for the compliment. My truck was freakin' filthy. I was wondering if I could gain a tenth by washing it. Go on a Friday BEFORE you start modding. Do this to get a good baseline so that you can see what you gain from your mods. The only reason I was there Wednesday is because I won't beable to make it there this weekend and the track will be closed for the holidays. It was my last chance to legally do 100+mph . Make sure to post ahead of time when you go back and I'll try to meet you there.

 

I can't go this weekend because of prior engagements. I will probably try to get in one more track trip in stock trim just to make sure I am being consistent. The only change I think I will be making is getting some new tires because mine won't last much longer.

I will definitely let you know the next time I make the trip to the track so we can try to meet up.

hmmm well theres your problem...its white. try getting Blue or Black...they're the fastest

 

You got good mph.. nice runs, gotta get a good 60' and you will do better.. But still nice times......... YOu said warm weather... nooooooooo these trucks can be off by half a second in heat... Good luck and have fun...........
