? on Breakin Protection

A friend of mine just had he truck ('02 HD) broken into. I am aware of the protective plate that can be installed behind the plastic door handle cover. It appears that his truck was broken in by sticking something into the key hole. Is this possible and is there any way to ptotect against this?

I prefer this one...

Or you can just purchase a nice alarm system with vibration sensors.

You can try the no lock mod. Use the rear door handle from an Expedition. They have no lock cylinder and come pre-painted. If your battery goes dead you are screwed. Other than that it looks real clean.

I don't get it...

What the heck is a jimmyjammer gonna do besides **** them off? Now instead of them just stealin your CDs and amps they're gonna throw a brick in your window, steal all your crap, and then trash the interior just to spite you. If they want in, they'll get in. There's really no fool proof method.

Here's what I'd do as a better solution. Garage the L, get an alarm, a dog that'll bark, a mossberg enforcer, and a cordless phone. The first 3 are to ward them off. The last two are for those stupid enough to still try.

Leave the vehicle unlocked and even leave the windows down. I have got to get one of these things.
