Other non Lightning forums are just packed full of people that don't know shiit. I was reading about some L's on a Dakota site. It's true, I couldn't even finish reading the thread, it was horrible. Just BS feeding BS, on and on.
No matter the subject, they know nothing.
Are we just smarter, and prove it by buying an L? LOL Just kidding. Seriously though, why is this?

What?
Are you talking about people that talk about L's on other non L boards? That maybe true.
I disagree, there are always a few people that know their stuff on all the boards that I visit. I don't discuss L stuff on a motorcycle board, etc.

Yeah I have to say that the lightning forums in general are probably some of the most informative sites out there, but when you think about it the forums are really the only way people can find out how to mod there L's more then just the basic air filter and chips out there.
Without these forums I never would be where I'm at today with my truck.

I don't expect vette owners to know specifics about Lightnings. But the last site I looked at they really didn't know much in general. Or should I say that the brighter ones didn't chime in.
I agree with you RTKILLA, if it wern't for people like you guys helping out we'd all be slower.
I wouldn't know about specials that the vendors are offering either.
So Kuddos to you guys for helping each other out.

These forums ("L" owners) have really evolved from the early days. It has brought about a larger following of both owners and admirers, and given us all many places to shop for opinions and share info. I'm afraid the 1st generation owners didn't have the same set of circumstances, although they were pretty successful in respresenting themselves.
When the 99's first hit the streets, there was very little information to be had, and even fewer owners willing to risk modding their trucks.
It took a few brave souls such as Sal and a few others to blaze the trail, so to speak.
There are actually quite a few of us who posted to the old J Martin board for SVT owners before moving over to this location.
