bassini

i've heard the bassini, i think fomocofan (where are you man??) has it on his truck. I think it has more of a ....say..."european" sound to it. Sounds real good. He said he picked up almost .2 on his particular truck with the exhaust swap from stock exhaust. I've also heard the bullet. I think it has more a say, "big block" sound to it. Actually, i think that's what Jim describes it as too on the site. My buddy has a borla on his 01 GT and it is the best sounding exhaust i've ever heard. It puts flowmaster to shame. I had contemplated the borla, but elected to go with the Bullet because of the sound, gains and mmmmmmm those tips!!! I don't mind any drone, i love to hear the engine. The borla on my buddies stang, when he starts it , i can hear the rumble from the other side of Home Depot parking lot!!! Real deep. It has a nice bassy drone to it and when it opens up it is unreal, so i don't mind loud, plus it turns heads even more.

Both systems are good, just depends on what you are looking for. My opinion, if you are looking for that "muscle car" sound, go with the JDM cat back. If you are looking for that "big ***** sports care sound", go bassini. Don't have any experience with Mac, sorry.

BTW I see your in Lexington. I hope your not a Cats football fan. Any hope they had left with Guy.
YUP sucks guy left =/ but I can only hope we get someone equally as positive for the football program.

Save your money, just install a single magnaflow muffler to your stock system..Sounds excellent, not to loud...

I know exactly what you mean. I have a custom catback with dual Dynomax Ultra-Flo 14" mufflers. Extremely loud, sounds awesome. But, it drones from around 2K-2750rpm (60-75MPH). Gives me a headache on even a 10 minute trip. Loud may be good, but being loud doesn't require droning. I'm looking to dump mine and go for a Bassani catback (the rest of the exhaust is already Bassani). And having a quieter exhaust is well worth having the ability to hear years later.

That is surely true !!! The mechanics of the "drone" are
a function of the pipe harmonics ...

Well, if you must know the truth, I felt that anything that would improve on the JDM "Drone-o-Matic" Silver Bullet couldn't be anything but an improvement.
Right Cliff,

Nothing anti-JDM in this quote!

Hey, but don't worry..... I will sit back and watch you and your cronies act like little children who can't always get their way!

Now come on, people are finding 'JDM bashing' in everything they see. The Silver Bullet drones, it just does. I've ridden in two vehicles that had the full exhaust, and driven one. It sounded awesome, but droned. Some people put up with that, some can handle it, others don't like it. He didn't like it, so he changed to Bassani. It doesn't mean it's a bad product, it's just not suited for all users.

Cliff

The holidays are so close, and I'm really tired of the negativity these boards contain.

I honestly wish you luck with your truck, and would really like to see threads change for the better
