Sorry guys, didn't mean to jack the post

How does the Bassani compare to the Borla in terms of sound? If I pick up a Bassani, will I go insane from cabin drone on a one hour trip? In terms of quality, is Bassani as high as Borla?

Thanks in advance!

Borla isn't very much louder than stock.

Borla sounds great at wide-open throttle, idle slightly more than stock.

I actually which I would have kept my Borla.

Well, if you must know the truth, I felt that anything
that would improve on the JDM "Drone-o-Matic" Silver
Bullet couldn't be anything but an improvement. But
that's just my opinion and experience. JDM sounds
great, just a bit much drone at road speed and long
trips ...

And the insurance company had to replace my exhaust
because of the accident, so I got the better deal ...

Not quite yet, Jay ... They took it to the alignment
shop yesterday, and found the lower left front control
arm was bent and they need to replace that ... So
CLOSE ...

I told 'em that the TrukTracs used to be CHROME, but
they didn't buy that ... <grin>

RE: COMPARISON

Cliff,

If you think that Bassani is the "very best" you are entitled to your opinion, but that doesn't make it so. The sound the Silver Bullet makes to you....just another opinion. Remember opinions are a dime a dozen these days and are very evident on these boards.

For you to compare any CB systems out there ( Borla, MAC, JDM ect.) to some kids experience in finger painting, and equate Bassani to the work done on the Mona Lisa is ridiculous!

Anyway...good luck with your truck

Kevin

Looks like this thread is over. Glad you like your new system. I got a magnaflo cat back, and I agree that the new sound is what the truck should have come with in the first place!

If it's not Bassani it's not worth buying.

What I find ridiculous is that you purposefully quote something
that Sal posted in another thread to instigate and rile up everyone
on this thread ...

But you get what you were after don't you ...

PS... are the rest of your 41 posts this non-relevant and confrontational?

Cliff

I have no idea what Sal posted, or what thread you are talking about. What I do know is that your constant complaining/ moaning about JDM is getting old...

Get over it

KY_SVT--If do anything else to your exhaust system get the Bassani high flow cat cross-over pipes. It gives any exhaust system that extra growl you might want. I almost got the bassani cat-back but opted for the MAC for the $$ difference at the time. (Which sounds bada$$ with the high flow cats)

BTW I see your in Lexington. I hope your not a Cats football fan. Any hope they had left with Guy.

Matt, I respect that ... considering you don't even HAVE a
silver bullit, let alone ever having DRIVEN with one for 1200
miles ... maybe age has NOTHING to do with it ...

I gotta say that at BG, between you and Sal, the exhausts were
the best I had ever heard ... When you gonna come to Clay City
to show us how to do this Drag Race thang? Or Brandon and I
can come up there when we get our trucks back ....

What's drone?

There's nothing I'd rather hear than my truck exhaust while driving 3 hours on the highway. To me it's sweet sweet music.

Save the quiet exhaust for the Cadillacs
