The "Emperor's New Clothes" hmmm well what ever suits you. My first time seeing the results of Zaino (knowingly) was on an 87' Buick GrandNational. The car was sporting its 15 year old original paint job and the original paint sucked in '87 on these cars. Anyway the car looked brand new. The paint was deep and more reflective than ANY black paint job I've ever seen (any paint job at all for that matter). I must admit that I don't look forward to spending an entire weekend waxing my truck but as you well know...you have to pay the cost to be the boss.

Well anyway its raining here so I won't be fooling around with Zaino at all today.

Before you chalk it up as "Gimmicky" take a look at customer's cars on their website. The link to their site is somewhere in this thread.

Believe me, I've tried it or I would not comment on it. If it works for you, great. I just think it's way too much work for the shine, and the level of protection is no more than what I use now, which is a one-step polymer material with a higher UV rating than Zaino.

I have no argument whatso ever about that. It does require to much work. What color vehicle did you try it on?

I first tried it on a black 2001 Bullitt, and I also used it on my True Blue 2002. Never disputed its ability to raise a shine, it just seemed like too much work to me, cutting into my seat time in the vehicles.

I hate spending wekends waxing something I would rather drive..............

i don't think zaino is too much work to use. yeah the innitial process takes a long time, but most of it you should do to any vehicle. dawn wash, claybar, rewash. then all you have to do is use the z5 or z2 however many times you want, and the zfx makes it go ALOT faster! hit it with z6 after each coat, which takes all of 10 minutes max, and its done.

I've tried alot of different waxes and polishes in the past. zaino is by far the best and most worth the time work and money yet!

pic of my drivers side door panel reflection at 5 coats

5 coats and like a friggin mirror! i can go 2 weeks without having to wash the truck in the summer, and i don't have a garage and its daily driven, and all i have to do is use the cali duster daily, and the quick detailer every third day, and the truck looks like it was just polished. I could probably go longer if it didn't rain.
i won't be switching to anything else any time soon!

Thats a beautiful car you have FLASH.

Harley#356 now thats what I'm talking about!

mswaim I feel you on that issue. But it seems like its only the first time that really takes a long time. And I love when I pull up next to a Vette and get compliments on the truck...I think the Vette owners hate that. Especially when I say and its faster than a Vette. Zaino will prolly make this happen alot more.

Must agree, the first time is the worst..........and the truth be told, the worst part for the Vette owner is:

1.) He has already had his butt handed to him by an "L" owner

2.) You hand it to him after he compliments your truck...........

Ouch............

Check out the ZainoBros web site. They go into detail about the claybar and how to use it. They can tell you better than I can. Seems like it gets any kind of contaminates off of your paint. HTH.
