It all depends on the type of melt down. If it's just the tips and they totally melt away, it's PROBABLY the least concern "IF" you catch it in time. But when you melt the porcelain too, and it's missing, that’s more of a problem. You pray it blew out the exhaust valve; but of course it could also end up in a Cylinder, smashed or burnt into a Valve, or even other places like the Manifold.
A part of me believes mine slightly bend a valve ???? Not enough to create a performance problem but enough to hear an uneven sound in low to mid throttle. At WOT, IT'S ALL GOOD

I'd die for 45 degrees right now. It's been in the teens every single morning the past couple of weeks here with high's in the 20's and 30's, and a few days getting in the 40's. My tuner did a great job on my program, NO DETONATION AT ALL. Like Toast said, it's clogged fuel filters that got us.
