Question Shocks

I've got a 2000 L with a 3/4 lowering kit. I need some shocks and want to know what everyone recomends. Personal experiences? Up front I used control arms so factory length shocks work fine in the rear I need shorter shocks. I want a firm ride, I'm more into road course than drag racing. But, I'm not really looking for 12 way adjustables, just good quality. Any thoughts? Edelbrock only has shocks for a truck lowered 2 inches, do you think this would affect my ride if I installed them on my truck?

The Edel shocks really are not the best choice for any events where you are doing any high speed turning. The shocks will open a valve if you hit a bump in the turn and shock action will fall off fast so it will upset the truck.See about an adjustable shock similiar to the gaberail [sp] E's that used to be made Speedin Bob has a set for sale on the NLOC board. They are a good inbetween shock form the QAs to the Bilsteins.Stan

I'm not looking for anything really fancy, I just want something that provides me with some everyday performance. My truck is a daily driver and barely ever sees a track. The issue I'm having is that my truck is lowered and I can't seem to find a shock that takes that into account. The Edel shocks only list a shock for a f150 lowered 2" and a listing for a stock Lightning. My L is 4" lower in the rear.

The doesch shocks maybe the ones you are looking for. I've read alot of people have liked them, and since you are not going to be doing any type of track events that much you don't really need more expensive ones.

I went the QA1 route, but my truck gets dragged alot, and will be brought in much more cone dodging this year and hopefully a track event.
