Video of L vs Dakota R/T w/NOS

Sorry for the delay, I was trying to figure out how to compress the video. This is my first kill. Some of you know how I've really been wanting one. LvsDakota.wmv 4.3MB

This was my previous post and times.

L mods,
Cold Air Intake, chip, 4 Lb pulley, traction bars, 160 deg
thermostat, Factory Tech Valve body, oil breather cap. It
runs 14-15 lb's boost, and just roasts the F1's that are on it. Can't get the F1's to hook.

R/T Mods,
52mm Throttle body, cold air intake, Mopar performance PCM (computer) Full open Cat back system, 150 shot of NOS, trans-go shift kit, Nitto 450's 275x45x17, and slapper bars. Claimed 387RWHP without the NOS. Inexperienced with NOS.

We ran the 1/8th today. Talked with this guy alot over the last 2 weeks. Great guy and had a blast. We were just playing at the track so it didn't really matter who ran faster. Here's a slip

R/T ----------------------- Lightning
+.71 ---- Reaction ---- +.14
2.165 --- 60 ft --------- 2.020
9.574 --- 1/8 ET ------- 8.403
72.68 --- 1/8 MPH ---- 85.39

6 runs total same basic result. his best was 9.137@79.26 above was the L's best.

Must be time for slicks. I can't imagine faster than that on F1's. So for those that do better on F1's, Kudos to you! On the 4th run, it spun on the line as usual, then it started spinning faster down the track, then it felt like I was on ice at ~60MPH, let out completely, then nailed it again. Still won by .5 sec!:

Now I'll have to beef him up for some stiffer competition.

so he ran about a 15 second quarter mile time?
sounds like he ran you with no nos at maybe 215 rwhp.
what altitude?

The above is a truck with some mods your RT friend might like.
He was running 12.7 without heads, stall convertor...@150 shot.

You should be able to get that 60' below 2 seconds on the F1's - I have seen it be done several times.

BTW...nice raping of the R/T -- Good Job!

Thanks for the compliments. I had a blast. I was shaking at the line on the first run (the one in this video). What a rush!

I tried and tried to get under a 2.0 60 ft. I got a 2.001, 2.002, and worse. I did the little burn out, rabbit hop, then slowly let the pedal down. Still, smokin away. It was 54 degrees, altitude is about 450 feet above sea level.

Good kill!

2.0 60 ft. times are decent. My best so far is a 1.8 on F1s with stock pressure but that was with excellent track prep.

I used MS Movie 2 beta. I have no idea. I wanted MPEG but have no idea how to convert it. If it works, it works great. I'll take any suggestions on converting it. I tried winmpg and it couldn't convert it to anything.

I dunno why he is so damn slow man... he should be.
U run a 9.4 on the motor, and thats with a bad o2 sensor (my low end blows to hell, I got a 2.17 60ft with slicks).

I have 257 rwhp, 330 rwtq.
with 100 shot and open headers, I do a 8.437@82.39mph with a 1.94 60ft (about .1 slower than I should be, they were brand new slicks). Thats with low bottle pressure too!

I need to find some guys to race me at the track!
