I want to point out something for those considering a big brake kit. I have the Stillen kit based on the AP Racing CP5555 caliper. My stock HD wheels barley cleared the caliper depth wise. When I sold my OEM wheels and ordered some new one’s, I tried to run some OEM 18’ Lightning wheels. They WILL NOT clear the calipers, and I had to spend extra money for my new wheels to clear. Keep this in mind when you order your new kit. You may have to purchase new wheels.

Keep it in mind if the big brake kit is not designed for the stock wheels.

The brakes by Ruslow, Stoptech, Brembo (2001+), and TCE will work with stock wheels.

Hey guys,

I emailed a rep from Stoptech and he told me something about a 5mm spacer for their brake kit?

Anyone wanna shed some light on that issue?

Spike,
The Lightning wheels that I tried where 99-00 wheels, hence the fact they did not fit. 99-00 wheel owners will need to do a little filing.

99-00 L wheels need a 5mm spacer. 01-02 are a bolt on. 03?
