I dont even think Don's results should be considered personally. Something has been wrong from the start there. No pun Don but it is. I dont have a clue what it is, but something was not right. I know Don has stock cams is his built motor and thats probably half of the problem. JDM and himself will be changing that soon now that Jim has found the cam setup he likes. I think you will see Don blasting some new times soon enuff, im hoping he gets the cams, and retrys his Works 112. He should be happy then. You gota have all the components to make a built motor work....

The sound is ok, plenty of videos have been posted to show how it sounds. I think its around $3000 for the kit, so the question should be, Is .5 ET reduction & 6 MPH worth $3000 to you?
I think a better question is why wouldn't someone with a stock Lightning go with a KB(and a chip tuned for it) set at at 12 lbs of boost? That blower sounds like the best mod one can do right now. $3300 dollars plus installation for a blower which could handle even more boost down the road if you want a built engine. Yes, it is worth it. Worth every penny.

Hey Rich no problem, yes I agree you can't use my results to judge the works 112.

You are right there was something wrong with it from Day One. It only lasted about 1000 miles before it self-destructed. Magnuson is building me a brand new unit. Nothing could be saved from the original blower, except the pulley, even the snout was damaged.

I do not plan to retry the 112, I am on the waiting list for the KB

My truck is in NJ right now, on Monday the chassis shop is starting on the roll bar, that should take about a week or two. Then it will be at Jim's shop for a week or two, and yes I am getting the new cams.

I will have the same combo next year as Dave Lunden who Ran 11.5s at Cecil Saturday, except I will be running the Kenny Bell Blower.

I think I will tune and pulley it to run mid 11's for 90% of my track time, especially when I bracket race. On those rare days when it is nice and cool, and I am not bracket racing. I will bump the boost up and change chips to see what it is capable of running. I think this will make the motor and trans last a lot longer.

This is the last time I will comment on that blower, I am moving on to a new setup. If you all want to comment on it thats fine, but I won't comment on it anymore.

I'm glad to see you move on and get something which will net you .7 et and more. It is too bad that magnusson treated you badly and wouldn't stand by their product.

Seems to be a trend with Magnuson.
