My Order's In!

I just orderd a Black 03. I was torn bwtween black and sonic blue, but in the end went with black. I searched every local dealer and loooked at sonic blue on every car and truck it is made on. It's an awesome color but its got a hint of purple that I'm not sure about. Anyway I got it on X-plan and can't wait for "the call" The dealer told me 3 months Guess I better not hold my breath.

Rest assured...you did the right thing. Here is a list of 6 must haves. There are many more but here is where to start and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

1. Chrome wheels
2. Snug lid
3. Factory Tech Valve body (the must have mod of the millenia)
4. Fog light covers
5. MTX Thunderform
6. Bug shield

Yep

or driving light or whatever you call them. Mr. BBQMAN posted a link where you can order them from. I got a set of smoked and clear, the clear ones look better IMO and don't impede the light. Mr. BBQ said that the lights get really hot and if something splashed on them they'd crack eaisier. So I got my covers and haven't had a single fog light problem.

what does the factory tech valve body do for you?
also, which bug shield? I looked for one that was small and would be fairly close to the hood and clear (so that I could paint it black to match my L) all of this so that it would be inconspicuous (sp?).
the subwoofer is a maybe, I replaced my speakers with Focals and they have enough bass for me..

I have 2 X-Plans left to give away this year, if anyone is SERIOUS about buying a new car before the end of the year.
(I don't want to use one if you're not sure, once issued I pretty much can't get it back and I'd hate to waste it)
Anyhow, if anyone wants a PIN...

I need you to E-mail me your
Name
Address
Phone number
SS Number
birth date (month and day, don't need year)
e-Mail
cars owned
car being replaced if any
lease or purchase (if known)
I enter the info and Ford will e-mail you a PIN.

GBEvans@peoplepc.com

expect them to be gone within a day or two, but I'd really like to use them, I lose them first of the year.

G

I ordered my bug shield from the parts counter at Ford. It is a low profile wrap around design and I can't tell its on when I'm sitting in the truck. The FTVB is nothing short of orgasmic. It really is the way the truck should shift but doesn't. Its very livable for normal driving and when you get aggressive so does it. I do the second gear scratch at will and my truck is basically stock (no chip or pulley). And it lengthens the life of the tranny by cutting down shift duration (less heat and wear). I could go on forever about this thing....and its only ever had one complaint!! Do a search for: Bad Report on Factory Tech Valve Body.....He got bashed pretty bad on that one.

yup, i had a ford bug deflector also before i got my cervini's hood. Only difference was i got the HD one with the HD emblem embedded in the center, same design though. Bolted right up and was nice and low profile. Matched the hood lines perfectly. Alot of deflectors stick up too high and look goofy, the ford one actually looks decent

congrats on the 03

Congrats on the '03! You'll love her. If your going for performance, go for a chip, filter, pulley from your favorite Tuner of choice.

If your going for show'n'go first, go with 20's (dubs) tonneau cover, and a drop kit. Smoking!
