No can do!!
Not voting for Calif. is one thing, voting for another state could easily cause me to be kicked out of the CALT (California Lighting Team) and I just got my sticker and EVERYTHING.

New Jersey has good temps for a while but insurance kills it. Snow is ok cause when you put the lightning up you can play with your winter toys. sucks to have to put it away but that way it has less miles. NJ isnt too bad but it isnt the winner. Ah well any state is awesome when your rockin a lightning

As a South Carolina native (spent two years in lovely Hilton Head), I can tell you that no place I have ever been compares to California for driving. Car heaven. Almost all of the performance manufacturers are right here. Some of the best driving roads in the country are minutes from my house. The So Cal SCCA chapter is probably the most active in the nation, so there are at least a couple of track events per month. And it never rains and it never gets cold. If it weren't for all the GD traffic, it would be heaven on earth from a driving perspective.

I sure do miss SC though--especially Hilton Head. I would love to get back there one day. HH is the best place I ever lived.

Alaska?

If you can discount the winters (still have no snow yet). But not too many places where you can do a 250 mile round tripper and almost guaranteed not to see a cop. Scenery ain't bad either.

MD is a nice state to own an L. Insurance is reasonable, temps are pretty good, and you only have a couple months when the tracks are open. I need a couple months off anyway to get my modifications installed and time home w/ the family.

Time we throw New York in here We have 4 differant seasons and 3 of them are good Lightning weather. 3 out of 4 aint bad, and we do have Sunoco Ultra 94. Plus I've been living here my whole life and other than an ocassional bad winter, most of the times there will only be maybe 4-6 days a year where you put your life in your hands driving a performance vehicle to work. I did it with a Cobra and two days ago it was the first snow day with the Lightning. MUCH BETTER THAN THE COBRA WAS.

Talking

Texas, because you can drive your lightning year round. However it does get to hot for optimum performance in the summer. Then again Texas summer nights are awesome.
