Optimal Battery Relocation Question
I plan to relocate the battery to reduce the weight bias. Did anyone here ever scale the truck and find the "optimal" location? I was going to take a guess and shoot for somewhere aft of the exhaust system on the right side. I would like to retain the spare tire but would give it the axe if need be.

Good Points Spike.... I Want to keep the battery under the bed and low. Idealy the perfect place to mount the battery would be in the middle of the chassis provided all other measurements were equal. As you probably already know, the front end is a brick as compared to the rear end. BY optimal, I meant mounting the battery to equalize the fore/aft weight bias. Obviously the battery alone will not equalize the two but will bring them closer together. The left and right sides of the truck also do not weigh the same but finding a useable spot is very limited.
The truck is not a racecar so finding the perfect point is not essential. I understand a compromise must be made as it is street driven and am not ready to start cutting components apart.
Spike since you asked for my weight, I am going to assume you have been through this already and would be able to give me your best guess......
